Introduction

Reliance Industries is moving into the field of artificial intelligence. During their AGM 2025, the business unveiled Reliance Intelligence, an entirely subsidiary of Reliance that would focus on developing breakthrough AI services in India. Chairman Mukesh Ambani says that this new entity would focus on increasing India’s use of AI by working on everything from infrastructure and partnerships to services and talent.

Reliance has also said that it will work with Google and Meta, two of the biggest tech companies in the world, to establish the AI space. These companies are currently leaders in the field. They says that working with big companies from around the world will help them improve their new AI project and the larger AI ecosystem in India.

Point 1 – Massive AI computing network

To prepare the groundwork, Reliance Intelligence is building AI-ready data centers in Jamnagar, with construction already started. The business indicated that these facilities will use renewable energy from Reliance’s clean-energy projects. The data centers, which have been designed for AI training and inference, will be extended in phases to meet India’s growing demand for high-performance computing.

Point 2 – Joint initiative with Google and Meta

To move up the development of AI, Reliance Intelligence is working together with top worldwide companies. Google will work with Reliance to integrate its cloud and AI expertise as part of this partnership, while Meta will concentrate on integrating open-source models designed for Indian companies.

Point 3 – Google establishes a Cloud region in Jamnagar

As part of the partnership, Google Cloud is going to establish a specific area in Jamnagar that will be connected by Jio’s modern communications network and powered by Reliance’s renewable energy. In addition to boosting Reliance’s operations, Sundar Pichai said, this new cloud area will give Indian developers and businesses access to the latest artificial intelligence and computing resources. Google has become Reliance’s biggest public cloud partner, and the company has stated plans to integrate these technology across its companies. “This partnership will establish a Jamnagar Cloud area only for Reliance, providing top-notch AI driven by clean energy and Jio’s strong network,” Pichai stated.

Point 4 – Joint venture with Meta

Reliance and Meta are starting a new AI joint venture, with Reliance owning a 70% stake and Meta keeping 30%. The startup will use Meta’s Llama models to provide enterprise-grade AI solutions in businesses such as customer care, finance, IT, and retail. According to the companies, these solutions will be available in a variety of formats, including cloud-based, on-premises, and dedicated infrastructure, making them accessible to businesses of all sizes. “Through this joint venture, we’re putting Meta’s Llama models into real-world use and unlocking new possibilities together,” Mark Zuckerberg, chief executive of Meta, said.

Point 5 – AI services, talent, and robotics

Mukesh Ambani declared that Reliance Intelligence will introduce AI services for individuals, small businesses, and large businesses, including sector-specific solutions for education, healthcare, and agriculture. The platform will also serve as a hub for researchers and engineers to turn their unique ideas into real goods.
